Can I call anyone I want?

No. Each contact has to confirm their own number before you can call them — they get a quick text invite and tap to accept. Contacts must be 18 or older.

Can my contacts opt out?

Yes. Whenever we connect a call, your contact can choose to opt out. They can also remove their number at any time from our website or by replying STOP to any LOST101 text.

Phone numbers are encrypted at rest. Access requires multiple matching factors, and we rate-limit attempts and monitor for abuse. Call history on both sides shows 'LOST101' — callers and recipients never see each other's numbers.

What if no one answers?

You stay on the line. The system can instantly redial, retry, or cascade down your contact list to find the next available person.

Can people call me back?

No. LOST101 only connects outbound calls for safety and abuse prevention.

Is there a limit on how often I can call?

Each call can last up to 20 minutes, and each account includes 500 connected minutes per year. That covers roughly 20 successful calls a year, which comfortably fits typical use while keeping the service reliable for everyone.

Does LOST101 work internationally?

No. LOST101 works only on US phone networks.

Is LOST101 a replacement for 911?

No. LOST101 is a personal phone relay for non-emergency use and does not replace 911 or any emergency service. If you are in danger, call 911 directly.

Your first successfully connected call is free for up to 5 minutes, and no credit card is required to start. The pass includes up to 20 trusted contacts, calls from borrowed phones and landlines, private calling, voice verification that is never recorded, and encrypted contact storage. A 365-day pass can also be bought as a gift.

Privacy and trust

Encrypted storage. Phone numbers are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
Number masking. Callers and recipients never see each other's numbers.
Consent-first. Contacts must explicitly agree before they can be reached, and can opt out anytime by replying STOP.
